Tiered high-net-worth solutions

Three structures. Three distinct jobs.

Minimum thresholds are only entry points. Suitability depends on the strategy’s role, risk, liquidity and the investor’s wider portfolio.

01 · Evaluation discipline

The strategy must earn its place in the portfolio.

FINCAP evaluates specialised options through evidence beyond a headline return: manager behaviour across market cycles, strategy clarity, portfolio construction, fee structure, drawdown history and liquidity terms.

The question is not only whether a strategy performed. It is whether its risks, access terms and expected role make sense alongside everything else the investor already owns.

Cycle-tested manager

Review the manager’s process and outcomes across more than one market environment.

Strategy fit

Define what the allocation adds: alpha, diversification, income or a differentiated exposure.

Fee transparency

Understand fixed, performance-linked and embedded costs before committing capital.

Liquidity terms

Map lock-ins, notice periods and redemption conditions to realistic access needs.

02 · Portfolio role

Specialised does not mean suitable for every investor.

Higher minimums and sophisticated structures do not automatically improve a portfolio. The allocation should complement—not duplicate—existing equity, debt, business and property exposure.

FINCAP considers risk capacity, liquidity buffers, time horizon, concentration and the amount of capital that can remain committed through a full cycle.

Concentration check

Look through the full portfolio for repeated sector, factor, manager or market exposure.

Liquidity buffer

Keep near-term responsibilities outside structures that restrict access.

Allocation sizing

Size the strategy around its role and risk rather than its entry threshold.

Review cadence

Track whether the manager, mandate and portfolio behaviour remain consistent.

Important perspective

Manager quality, strategy fit, fees and liquidity matter more than brochure returns.

Product availability and investor eligibility remain subject to applicable regulation, documentation and suitability assessment.
